This piece is part of a gentle collection titled Mum’s Balcony — a series inspired by the thriving plant life that borders the communal space where we share food, stories, and time together at Mum’s place, specifically out on the balcony. I wanted to be a little more playful with this one, focusing on abstractly drawing out the leaf patterns and emphasising their outlines using gouache paints. So here we have it — my beloved and original Hoya Cumingiana piece.
